Only issue I have now is the resolution seems low in the camera control window - maybe 640x480 and definitely not 4k the camera is capable of. That might be because I swapped back to the modified camera capture setting (the default) from the old setting which was required to get the C920 to work in the first place. Unlike the C920 the video display in the camera control window is smooth (the C920 had a very slow fps rate for some reason). Burned the pattern again and it was good. I tried to burn a diagonal cross and center circle using the overlay to check if it was burning where it was supposed to but the alignment was off - it needed Y axis offset of +2.5 before it lined up correctly.

Then successfully completed that wizard and also the camera alignment wizard. I did need to reduce the scale of the dot pattern (to around 40% of full size) before the lens alignment wizard would recognise it. OK so I bought the 8 megapixel camera I mentioned above and it works great with Lightburn. If you can mount it high enough it's good but I'm still looking for something similar with a wider angle lens. However it also only has a 70deg lens but the resolution is much higher than the 920. After a considerable amount of searching alternatives I dropped across this camera on Amazon UK: which appears to be similar (if not identical) module, and reportedly works with Lightburn. Problem is for UK users like myself is that importing an official Lightburn camera module is a costly exercise - not just the purchase price but we also get stung for import duties and VAT (and shipping) on top. So I have to conclude the Logitech 920 is not a suitable camera.

Add to that the resolution the 920 provides using the old capture method is only 640x480 (that's why Lightburn author changed to a new modified capture method but sadly that won't work for the 920). The angle of view is only 70% or so which, while OK for the Neje Master 2, is not going to be wide enough for the bed of the Sculpfun S9. Looks like I'm talking to myself but, meh.Īlthough I have the Logitch 920 working as it should the results are not great.
